Executive Coaching with Dr. Alyssa Adams

Alyssa Adams, PsyD, CNS, is a Clinical Psychologist and Personal & Executive Coach. She supports leaders in improving their relationships at work and at home to create a thriving work environment and a fulfilling personal life. She leans heavily on her training as a psychologist to help individuals address their inner critic, create clear and achievable goals, address thinking patterns and belief systems that hinder progress, and build confidence to create success. She is currently enrolled in an ICF-accredited, Advanced Certified Personal & Executive Coach Program at the College of Executive Coaching, which has further developed her evidence-based coaching skills. Additionally, she is currently applying for her Board Certified Coach credential, which is a credential only available to those with graduate degrees in a behavioral health field.

Dr. Adams has worked with individuals and teams in private sector and federal government medical centers for almost 15 years. She has provided direct patient care, managed large programs, directed an outpatient clinical department, served as principal investigator on multiple research projects, and managed the operations of a national program. In addition, Dr. Adams developed and implemented local policies to improve access to integrative health services and she participated in national planning meetings to bring functional medicine to federal government healthcare. Dr. Adams has supervised large teams and served as project manager on numerous federal government contracts. Moreover, strategic planning for healthcare implementation and interpreting national policy were regular tasks in her positions, which required the ability to communicate effectively to various audiences, cull relevant information from national policies, and think broadly while remaining detail oriented. In 2016, Dr. Adams was chosen to receive a leadership award for her federal service. Dr. Adams has also authored numerous scientific publications and presented at national conferences in the areas of non-pharmacological approaches to pain management, integrative health clinical services and policy, and strategies for providers to improve outcomes with medically and psychologically complex clients.

She creates change with her individual executive coaching clients as a thought partner, assists with achieving goals, improves interpersonal relationships at work and at home, and creates positive team dynamics. Dr. Adams also offers workshops and trainings in emotional intelligence in the workplace.
