She also hosts the Tranquility du Jour podcast and serves as the president of Pigs & Pugs Project. She has master's degrees in social work and women's studies and has been called upon as a wellness expert for US News & World Report, The Washington Post, Fast Company, Huffington Post, Cosmopolitan, books, TV, and radio. She lives in Washington, DC with four rescue pets and one human.
