116: How to Reinvent Your Business for More Alignment with Josephine Hardman

A business goes through many iterations over the course of its life. As you grow, your business grows. As you change, your business changes. We often think that we have to do things a “certain” way to reach a specific kind of “success.” The truth is that your business should evolve, and success should be how you define it—in alignment with who you are and what you want.

In today’s episode, I’m chatting with intuitive healer and Akashic Records reader and teacher, Josephine Hardman. She’s sharing how she is taking an important shift in her business that arose out of physical health issues that she had ignored for far too long. She’s taking the time to reevaluate what is most important to her, how she can prosper in her business with ease (not everything has to be difficult), and the energy that comes with taking risks and making changes that feel aligned.

What you’ll find in this episode:

  • [01:47] Where Josephine is right now with her business, what prompted the shift she is taking in her business, and how she’s following her curiosity

  • [11:41] How energy and underlying motivations can affect flow within your business and the importance of introspection and quiet moments to know what you truly desire and what motivates you

  • [15:46] What sparked Josephine’s need to reimagine her business, and how she’s approaching what pieces to keep and what to let go of (what is serving her, and what isn’t)

  • [28:54] The energy that can come from taking worthwhile, calculated risks, and how not playing it safe can help you find alignment in your business

  • [32:18] Not falling into the trap that work has to be hard or laborious or that you can’t do work that you love and that feels effortless

Quotes:

[00:06:36] Josephine: And it really was a very strong message of, okay, slow down. And we need to reevaluate, as I said, what are the beliefs, the assumptions, the fears, even that were driving my behavior. And that has served me really well to build that business up until that point, but that maybe in the long term were not sustainable to my health and sanity and energy.

[00:24:48] Josephine: And to understand that actually I can manifest abundance through my business in a much more effortless way and that there are so many avenues of abundance that sometimes we don't even allow ourselves to see or recognize or visualize because we have these limiting beliefs of how it's supposed to be or how it should be or how it should look.

[00:31:46] Josephine: When we think about, oh, if I stop doing this one particular thing in this way, am I going to be disappointing all these clients, all these clients that maybe have relied on me in some way. But we have to remember, well, if this isn't working for me anymore, then it's not working for the clients.

[00:33:45] Alyssa: And I share that because as you're going through these pieces of evolution with your business or these times of evolution, you almost have to just like reconceptualize everything. Like the questions you ask yourself need to be different. You need to think way outside of the box, around what you want to do and how you want to offer and serve. And like just let it take this completely different shape than you have before.

[00:38:09] Josephine: Like when you're just you in a room thinking about your business and your life, what is the truth of how you're here to serve and what really does want and need to be expressed through you? Because the more truthful you are to that authentic, essential self I think the more you can be of service in a powerful way that really does help other people to transform their lives.
