112: Human Design: Using defined centers in your business

The defined (colored in) centers on your human design chart are your natural strengths—consistent, instinctual characteristics that come naturally to you. It’s easy to be hard on ourselves, wondering why we don’t have strengths that others have, while ignoring those that we do have.

In today’s episode, I’m talking through each of the nine defined centers and how to use these strengths to your advantage.

Take a moment, pull up your human design chart, and look up your body graph to see which centers you have that are defined. You’ll learn how to tap into your natural strengths and apply them to your business.

What you’ll find in this episode:

  • [02:07] How defined centers are things that come naturally to you and how you communicate them to others

  • [05:48] A high-level overview of how each of the centers work when defined

  • [25:49] How to see and use your defined centers as strengths in your personal life and in your business

Quotes:

So when we think about the human design body graph, the ‘all roads lead to Rome’ is the expression that comes up because we want all of the energy from the different parts of the chart to flow through the throat or into the throat, because this is the core center in the human design model that is for manifestation. So it allows you to speak into truth what you want to create or what you want to manifest. [23:57]

How do I use my defined strengths, these natural abilities that I have, in the marketing and sales process of my business? How does it tie into what I'm here to express or share? How does it tie into what I want to naturally get out into the world? [26:06]

So I want you to really think about how if you are walking down the already paved path, or if you're trying to like machete your way by cutting through the brush to create a path and thinking about that as it applies to your business and sit back and see what you might want to shift or change so that things can just feel more easeful, more aligned, and more fun, honestly, to you. [30:08]

Always use your strategy and your authority to step into a decision, but my guess is you're probably doing a lot of things because you feel like you should do them in your business, and probably some percentage of those things are actually not aligned to your natural strengths. So let this be easy. Just let go of those things and lean into the things that are your strengths. [30:48]
